Q: What is calligraphy? A: Calligraphy is the ancient art of elegantly curved and curley handwriting. The word calligraphy is derived from Greek, "kalli" meaning beautiful and "graphia" meaning writing. Q: How long have you been doing calligraphy? A: Bob Goodwin, the master calligrapher and owner of the studio has been doing calligraphy by hand for over 35 years. Q: How much do you charge for calligraphy? A: Our costs vary depending on the services you are looking for. Please visit our Price List page for more information. Q: What is your turn around time? A: Our turn around time varies depending on the project. For example, envelope addressing takes 1 week per 100 sets (inner and outer envelope), a seating scroll takes 1 week once we have a complete guest list. Q: Can you do calligraphy in colored inks? A: Yes, we can match just about any color you want including silver and gold. Q: Do you offer computerized calligraphy? A: Yes, we offer both hand and computerized calligraphy. Q: Can you match the font on my invitation to the envelopes? A: In most cases we are able to match the font on your invitation. If not we have many different font styles to choose from. Q: How far in advance should I mail my invitations? A: Invitations should be mailed 6-8 weeks prior to your wedding day to allow your guests ample time to plan for your special day and make travel arrangements. It also lets you set the RSVP date earlier to give you more time to make your seating chart. Q: Do I need a return address on my invitation envelopes? A: Although it is not required it is a good idea in case a guests address is incorrect. Q: Can I send 1 invitation to an entire family?
